Your Gyne Appointment!

Wondering if it's time to schedule your first gyne appointment?

Teens who are sexually active for three years and women over age 18 — even if they are not sexually active — should schedule an appointment with a gynecologist. Always make sure to schedule your appointment for a time when you won't have your period so your provider can get accurate test results. Otherwise, things might get a little messy!

Some health care providers recommend that women have an exam every year, and others recommend that women in good health only need to have one every 2-3 years. PPWP recommends that women have a pelvic exam every year.

Teens are always welcome at any of our PPWP health centers. Call 1.800.230.PLAN for the nearest location.

We have evening and walk-in hours. For walk-in hours, clients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. There may be a wait before you are seen. (We always have plenty of magazines - or feel free to bring your own materials!) If you don't want to come to your appointment alone, you can bring a friend or your boyfriend/girlfriend (having a guest in the waiting room is ok, but the patient has to go into the exam room alone).
