Yeast InfectionA yeast infection is an infection caused by a group of microscopic fungi or yeast. Testing: A clinician can diagnosis a yeast infection by examining a small sample of vaginal discharge under a microscope.Treatment: An antibiotic is prescribed to treat the infection. Reduce Your Risk: Keep the pubic area clean and dry. Don’t use deodorant tampons. Avoid douches. Drink water when you are thirsty.
