Health Care Reform - Vols Needed for Phone Banking!The name of the game this month is HEALTHCARE REFORM!
Planned Parenthood of Pennsylvania advocates recently acquired a grant to raise awareness around this issue. Every Thursday in the month of August from 1 pm - 4 pm we will be holding a special phone bank. This one is unlike a lot of phone banks we have done in the past. Using a special phone banking system, we will actually be able to patch through the people we call to Senator Casey and Senator Specter’s office so they can voice their support for family planning funding! How cool is that! We need as many phone bankers on the line as we can! That way we will be able to reach more of Casey and Specter’s constituents!

URGENT: KEEP COMPREHENSIVE WOMEN'S HEALTH CARE IN REFORM BILL
Right now, the Republican leadership on the Senate Finance Committee is demanding health care reform language that will take away access to women's comprehensive reproductive health services. It is unbelievable that, at a time when our leaders should be focused on expanding health care coverage, they are talking about taking benefits away from women.
The Republican leadership on the Senate Finance Committee is demanding a provision that will result in a drastic change to the benefits that many of us have now; and, of course, the hundreds of thousands of women who are not covered now will still be left out in the cold. As the health care reform debate moves forward, those who want to deny access to comprehensive reproductive health care will continue to target both Planned Parenthood and the health insurance coverage that meets all the health care needs of women, men, and teens. We need your help to guarantee that health care reform works for us all.
